| The Commission's mandate is to protect and enhance the unique character and surroundings of British Columbia’s Capital through preservation and elaboration of its natural and built amenities. Although the Commission at one time received an operating grant from the Province, all of its current funding comes from self-generated revenues and reserves, which have been built up over a decade of successful fiscal management. The Commission is not funded directly by government. |
