| Big Heart Rescue is a volunteer-driven organization that rescues and finds adoptive homes for abandoned, abused, neglected or homeless dogs and cats in Greater Vancouver, Greater Victoria, Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, the Lower Mainland and the Central Coast areas of British Columbia BC Canada. Our organization also has a special relationship with Bella Bella, Shear Water and Klemtu, which are small isolated First Nations communities where we refer to our work as "Spirits Mission". Big Heart Rescue is dedicated to stopping the overpopulation of pets in these First Nation communities and in addition to re-homing abandoned animals, we hold no cost spay and neuter clinics, vaccination clinics and provide medical intervention when required. Big Heart Rescue is a registered non-profit charity, funded 100% by generous donations from individuals and organizations. All proceeds go directly to the care and rehabilitation of companions in need. |
