| 20th Century Voice - Historical Fully Restored Speeches. 20th Century Voice was founded on June 6,1999, by James Reid and Kin Cain, who saw a need in educational institutions and public libraries, for high quality recordings of historical significance and believed that any person with a library card should have as ready access to the audio record of history as the written. Old Time Microphone Kin Cain is a pioneer in the field of digital audio restoration technology. In 1981 he founded Digital Archival Restoration and Recovery Systems (DARRS) and has been amassing and restoring the recordings of the 20th Century Voice collection for the last 21 years. In addition Cain has, himself, made many recordings of the songs and stories of a number of indigenous North American Peoples and so has produced a body of work historically important in its own right. |
